Xander is my little man.
Today at Outback, we had a kid tour, which is where we invite kids from the area to come in and see the restaurant when it's closed and learn about what we do there. Then they get lunch. They love it! Today's tour was for a pre-school. These kids were adorable! There was a little girl that reminded me a lot of Aliyah. It's really fun to see how excited they can get over a crocodile on the wall and a big ice machine and of course, the biggest chocolate bar they've ever seen.
When the kids was waiting for their moms to come get them, the teachers were trying to get everyone to sing a song. One little boy started singing, "We're not too big and we're not too tough, but when we work together we've got the right stuff!" He was very enthusiastic about it! And I know that this is from the Wonder Pets because I have been privileged enough to see a few episodes. Aliyah is a fan! So now I have the Wonder Pets theme song in my head, because I know enough of it to have it stuck in my head.
I can tell you all the characters from Dora the Explorer. I know a few from Diego and Backyardigans. I know the "Hot Dog" song from Mickey Mouse's Clubhouse. And occasionally, for no good reason, I still get the Silly Pizza Song stuck in my head, complete with ASL signs. :)
And I can't wait to see what I'll learn from Aliyah and Xander this weekend!

Well, thanks. :) You can be an Aunt overnight ANYTIME you want. :) hint, hint.
Can't wait to see you this weekend. :) I'm sure you'll be quoting Tinkerbell or Bolt by the time you leave.
Aliyah & Xander make it really, really fun to be an aunt, or grandma. They are very cute and are so loving. When you don't get to see them every day, they change and grow up so fast. I know it's a different story when you're mom and dad.
