This is my 100th post! Happy 100th to me!
I wish I had something really cool and important to say.
I'm at this very moment taking a break from studying for my final. My first semester back at school is almost behind me. Here's a few things I've learned:
1) taking one class (four credit hours) was a good way to ease back into school after being on break for five years.
2) taking Intermediate Algebra (Math 1010) by itself was probably the best idea I've ever had. I think for the first time in my entire life, I've done well in math class. Math is just not a strong subject for me. My brain hates it.
3) Because my homework was all done online with a program called MathXL (which helped me SO VERY MUCH), I know that I spent nearly 43 hours on homework. I'm hoping that will count for something when I'm taking my final tomorrow. It's in my brain somewhere...
I was able to talk to my academic advisor this last week and now I know the exact requirements for getting my associate in general studies. It feels good to kind of have a game plan. I wish Math 1010 counted towards that degree, but not so much, so I have signed up for Math 1050 next semester and am crossing my fingers that I'll be able to make it through. Did I mention that my brain hates math?
Wish me luck on my final...time to go back to studying. Maybe my 101st post will be more interesting!
