Be forewarned that I'm going to get on my soapbox for a minute, but it's just for a minute...as of right now.
Compassion is created out of a universal belief that every individual deserves to be free of unnecessary suffering.
When I look at someone in pain, see an injustice being committed, see someone being pushed to their breaking point, I feel an aching for them. I feel a desire to help out in some way, no matter how small, just to ease a little bit of the burden they're feeling. I feel a need to make right the wrongs against them.
If you push someone long enough, hard enough, say things to hurt them deeply enough, eventually it gets to a point where enough is just enough.
I believe that every individual deserves to be free of unnecessary suffering. If that makes me wrong, I don't want to be right.

Compassion is something you have a lot of. That is a good thing. The world would indeed be a better place if each selfish person thought less about themselves and more about others. Thank you for reminding us all.
