FAQ's

School starts in two weeks! I'm excited and nervous at the same time. I'm very glad that I decided to only take one class. After all, I've been out of school for five and a half years (ouch), and knowing me, it's going to be better to ease back into it.

So here's the FAQ that are associated with Ames going back to school:

WHERE ARE YOU GOING?
Weber State, specifically the Davis campus in Layton. Close to home is good.

WHAT'S YOUR MAJOR?
I don't have one...yet. The goal right now is to get my Associate. I'm trying not to overwhelm myself.

The one class I'm taking is Math 1010. It's what I tested into and I'd like to get it out of the way. Math and I are old enemies.

ARE YOU STILL GOING TO WORK?
Yes. My class is only Mondays and Wednesday from 4:30-6:30. Since my days off are already Mondays and Wednesdays, my work schedule doesn't have to change. Yay!

HAVE YOU MADE PEACE WITH HAVING TO SELL YOUR LIMBS TO PAY FOR SCHOOL BOOKS?
Not yet. But since I'll be buying my book this week, I'd better start getting used to the idea.

And can I just mention that I'm SO excited that one of my bestest friends is in the same class as I am? Hurray for my math buddy! We're DEFINITELY getting A's...or at least we'll have fun trying.

And since I mentioned that Math and I are old enemies, I'm also accepting applications for math tutors, so if you're interested, please comment.
:-)

hey sis, I totally hated math too, I think it's in our genes.. but after calculus with shaw and taking elementary math, I decided I really actually like it and might want to teach it in high school. But my mentor teacher showed me this book that explains how to do everything!! I will get the title and let you know, but I want to get out of my rustiness with math, so maybe I can pretend I know what I'm doing and help? Maybe?? It might make me feel cool
