Thanksgiving

It always drives me absolutely crazy that people start in with Christmas before Halloween is even over, skipping over Thanksgiving completely. Christmas seems to be more and more about "me me me" and "buy me stuff" and Thanksgiving, when you're suppose to remember what you ALREADY have, is "not important." I think it was my first year of seminary when one of my teachers had us make a list of 100 things we were thankful for. I still continue that each year. So I thought I'd post some highlights.

Mom, Dad, Anne, Jace, Aliyah, Xander, Nat, Ryan, Rocky (yes, even Rocky), aunts and uncles and cousins, grandparents...jets...Star Wars...a good pen...Mountain Dew...my good sense of direction...amazing friends...DBT...crossword puzzles...knowledge and testimony of the gospel...Ozzie...snow...snowboarding...good memory...my apartment...imagination...and all the service of the men and women in the military.

Thanks to Mom and Dad for having me and Spencer over for an AMAZING Thanksgiving! The food was awesome and the company was even better. Love ya!

Life is very good, isn't it. I like the idea of listing 100 things I'm thankful for. It puts your mind in a totally different place. I'm grateful to have you as my daughter. I'm glad you are coming to the Low cousin party Sunday. See you soon.

I thought I had, but I couldn't really remember it, so I didn't count it haha!!!

OK, I have to agree with you TOTALLY on the skipping Thanksgiving thing. Having worked in retail for many years I did notice this and asked about it a couple times. Here's what I got: "Why not?" and "There's more money in Christmas than Thanksgiving." This from a grocery store even! Messed up, turbo style.

Personally, I love Halloween, but I do miss the times when I was able to go to 3 different Thanksgiving meals....mmmmm and the left-overs.....mmmmmm....definitely would have Thanksgiving leftovers on my thankfull list, for sure. :)
